The Orpheum 2017 Summer Movie Series

The Orpheum is back with another summer movies series that you movie lovers won’t want to miss!

Just before tonight’s pop-up screening of Steven Spielberg’s E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial at the Halloran Centre, the Orpheum announced the lineup for the 2017 Summer Movie Series beginning June 2nd. Presented by Orion Federal Credit Union, the series includes several classics that we all know and love.

“I hope to see a lot of our movie fans escape the Memphis heat and join us inside the historic Orpheum Theatre this summer,” said Brett Batterson, President & CEO of the Orpheum Theatre Group. “This year’s series has something for everyone including classics, movies you can sing to, and films for the whole family to enjoy.”

  • Friday, June 2nd – Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory @ 7pm
  • Thursday, June 8th – Breakfast at Tiffany’s @ 7pm
  • Saturday, June 10th – The Sandlot @ 2pm
  • Thursday, June 22nd – Psycho @ 7pm
  • Friday, June 23rd – The Wizard of Oz @ 7pm
  • Thursday, June 29th – Monty Python and the Holy Grail @ 7pm
  • Friday, June 30th – Dirty Harry @ 7pm
  • Friday, July 7th – The Princess Bride @ 7pm
  • Friday, July 14 – The Maltese Falcon @ 7pm
  • Friday, July 21st – Grease @ 7pm
  • Friday, August 11th – Gone with the Wind @ 7pm
  • Saturday, August 12th – Coming to America @ 7pm
  • Friday, August 25th – The Rocky Horror Picture Show @ 8pm

Doors will open one hour before each showing. You are encouraged to come early to enjoy themed drink specials, show your movie trivia knowledge, take advantage of the photo booth, and enjoy the sounds of the Mighty Wurlitzer organ. Costumes are always encouraged!

Tickets for the Summer Movie Series go on sale Friday, May 5th. Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for children 12 and under. You can also purchase packages of 10 tickets for $60 to be used for a single movie or spread across the summer series.
